Rabbit Bartholomew
From the Gold Coast of Australia, Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew was one of the first Aussie's to burst into world prominence in the 1970s while pioneering professional surfing as we know it today. Along with Peter Townend and Shaun Tomson, Rabbit busted down the door in the late ‘70s to help legitimize the sport.
His ferocious attack on Hawaii's North Shore and all over the world lead to his IPS/ASP World Championship in 1978. He continued to be one of the world's leading professionals deep into the ’80s, earning six years in the top five. He won a total of eight world tour contests and made the finals of the Pipeline Masters in 1981, 1984 and 1985.
Richie Lovett
Richie Lovett carved his way through a successful pro surfing career that culminated with 10 consecutive years on the elite World Championship Tour. But this is just one chapter in his extraordinary life... Richie’s story is one of true resilience and positivity.
He’s survived a tsunami, had encounters with sharks, but perhaps his biggest challenge came when he was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in 2006 that would end his pro career. Treatment involved radical hip surgery to remove the disease, and in his mid 30’s after a long recover road, Richie had to teach himself to surf all over again.
In December of 2013, Richie released his first book, The Big Sea, which talks about surfing, his life, and his battle with cancer. Over past decade his resilience would be tested with a second cancer diagnosis and multiple back surgeries, which he again faced head on.
Today Richie is still entrenched in the surfing world. Designing and shaping surfboards for his brand Volume Shapes, he’s a lead analyst commentator for the WSL, and he works alongside some of the most prestigious brands in the industry as a surf hardware expert.
Beau Young
Beau grew up with one of the surfing worlds’ most famous and iconic characters, the great Nat Young. Beau and his siblings were all riding waves long before they could actually swim.
It was in 1998 in the Canary Islands that Beau had his first major break through on the international competitive circuit.
This result sparked the beginning of an incredible professional longboard career that would go on long after his competition days were over.
